Starting point: bus stop at the entrance to Chemin des Quatre Sous, in Rochesson. Parking available nearby.
(S/E) Cross the D23 and take Chemin des Noisetiers. Leave it on the right and take Chemin de la Vierge. Head to the statue of Notre-Dame de Rochesson.
(1) Leave the path and walk down to the foot of the statue to enjoy the view of Rochesson and the valley. Return, continue along Chemin de la Vierge and pass above Bas des Truches to reach the D23 further down.
(2) Turn right onto Chemin du Faubourg and continue to the end.
(3) Follow Chemin de la Grève on the right (marked Saut du Bouchot Disque Rouge). Pass above the Rochesson cemetery, visible on the other side of the D23.
(4) Continue along Chemin de la Houblivière, then Chemin du Plain Briseux, and go to the end of the road.
(5) Turn right onto Chemin du Lausson, continuing to follow the red disc markings and signs for Saut du Bouchot. You will reach a road.
(6) Turn left towards Le Rapois and cross this hamlet to reach the D23.
(7) Carefully cross the D23 and take the path on the other side, below the road, for a few dozen metres before joining the markings and the path that leads into the forest on the left, along the Bouchot. You will arrive at the first small waterfall, which is not yet the Saut du Bouchot.
(8) Continue along the path until you reach a larger waterfall.
(9) This is the Saut du Bouchot. A beautiful waterfall. The more intrepid among you may wish to take a dip. Cross the bridge, climb the stairs and follow the path on the other side. You will arrive at a picnic area with parking at the top of the path. Cross over, walk along the road on the left for a few metres, and cross over the Peute Goutte stream to join the path on the right marked with a red disc. The slope is quite steep. Follow the path.
(10) Take the gate on the right and cross the field to reach the path above. At each intersection, follow the red disc markings.
(11) At the fork, do not turn left towards Orimont but stay to the right.
(12) At the intersection with the road, go straight ahead and join Rue de l'Église. Follow it, turning left, then turn right into Rue du Damont
(13) Take Chemin du Bas de Plainfaing on the right (do not go down the dead end). Follow the yellow ring markings to the Battion waterfall.
(14) Go past the waterfall and continue up the path to reach the top of the ski lift. Go over the field used as a ski slope in winter and join the road called Chemin des Ponts.
(15) Take it on the left, then turn right onto Chemin de la Moraine. At the end of the path, turn right to reach the bridge, cross it to return to the car park (S/E).
