White and red GR®T66 and GR®10markings
(S) Wooden signpost. From the Refuge du Rulhe, follow the emergency ladder and head towards the small semi-buried generator, climbing north-east across the pasture. Cross a small stream (the refuge's old water source) and turn north for 120 m until you reach a junction. Wooden signpost.

(1) Leave the GR® T66 and turn right (GR®10), heading north-east and climbing straight ahead. Soon, a post marking the Col de Terre Nègre (elevation 2,304 m) will appear in the distance. Wooden post. Very beautiful spot with a 360° view.
(2) From the pass, continue north-east for a few metres. The next pass is clearly visible. Descend immediately northwards along a good path. Turn right quickly and continue downhill, then turn left to reach the Col de Belh (altitude 2247). Wooden signpost.
(3) From this pass, a difficult and steep mountain path begins. Head north, then quickly northeast along a narrow path. Be careful: some areas must be crossed with caution. You will arrive at a flat area. Locate the rest of the path on the hillside, aiming for an archway to pass through. Be extra careful at this point. You will then arrive at another relatively flat area.
(4) Change direction, turn left, head north and climb up the ridge that follows. The path is not easy with a few rocky sections. After a wide curve to the right, heading north-east, climb further and reach a flat area and a fork with a few flat rocks on the right (elevation 2,277 metres). This is a vast and beautiful spot for a well-deserved break. There is a wooden signpost.

(5) Continue left, heading north, following the small painted wooden posts. Make a large curve to the left to head west. The damaged path then descends rapidly to the Col de la Didorte (elevation 2092). Wooden signpost.
Off the marked trail
(6) Turn left for about 30 m and confirm the direction with a small cairn. A good path appears immediately. Descend in tight switchbacks heading south-west, then much lower down, after passing a few rocks, continue south-west again, heading for the Cabane du Rieutort. A few cairns help you to find your way. You can take a break in the shade, leaning against the hut on the bench outside.
(7) Continue to the right, descend two rock slabs and find a path parallel to the Rieutort stream, which leads to the footbridge.
White and red markings. GR®T66
(8) Without crossing it, continue opposite on the narrow path that zigzags between the rocks. Further down, follow the Rieutort stream on the right bank. There are a few places to cool off. Then descend into the forest. The path is now levelled and covered with stones. After numerous zigzags, join the D520a road and the car park on the left (E).
