A few parking spaces are available on the road, on the right after the campsite

(S/E) When leaving the campsite, turn left until you reach the first intersection before the farm.

(1) Stay on the path on the left to reach a second intersection.

(2) Turn right, the track climbs gently. Continue straight ahead until you reach the picnic tables.

(3) Follow the path on the right, which climbs more steeply, then continue straight ahead (a sign indicates "Puy de Combegrasse"). On the path, you will encounter a first chicane, then a gate to a sheep pen that you will need to open (and close behind you), before another chicane. Then begin the climb to the summit of Puy de Combegrasse, the only slight difficulty on the route. You will then arrive at the first orientation table, revealing a beautiful view of the Chaîne des Puys, all the way to Puy-de-Dôme.

(4) Continue along the path, go through another gate, and keep to your right until you reach the second orientation table, which offers a view of the Sancy massif.

(5) Retrace your steps and take the path marked "Retour parking" (Return to car park) on the right. Begin the descent, during which you will pass another chicane and a final gate to exit the sheep pens. You will then return to the intersection near the picnic tables.

(3) Turn left and return to the intersection you passed on the way there.

(2) Go straight ahead, then keep left to return to the campsite (S/E).

If you are not a resident at the campsite, parking spaces are available on the right-hand side of the road after the campsite.

Dogs are not allowed on this hike from May to October (sheep grazing season).

Drinks, ice cream, pancakes, etc. are available at the campsite from May to September.

During this hike, you will climb the Puy de Combegrasse (4), which offers one of the most beautiful views in the region. At the summit, you will have a breathtaking view of the Puys de la Vache and Lassolas, the Puy de Vichatel, Lake Aydat, the Puy de Dôme... but also the Puy de Sancy and its adventitious massif (Puys de la Tache, de l'Angle and de la Monne).
