Description of the walk

Start: The start is about 15 Km north of Haast Beach, on the left, off Haast Highway 6. Follow signs for Ship Creek Walks.

(S/E) From the car park, reach the viewpoint and continue for a few meters to turn right away from the beach. The path approaches the river and passes under the road. Continue along the riverside on this well-maintained path until you reach a fork in the road.

(1) Continue straight ahead on your left-hand to complete this small loop on a well-maintained path, and return to the junction where you previously kept left.

(1) From here return to the starting point using the same route. (S/E).
