A stroll around Milford Sound

Start: Park before the deepwater port, in the large free car park.

(S/E) Cross the small road leading to the deep-water port and follow the path along the road to the pier. This path is somewhat shaded and surrounded by vegetation and on the way you can enjoy watching the small planes and helicopters.

(1) As you emerge from the vegetation, come to a small junction with the start of a path on the left, and take it. Enjoy the beautiful views over Milford Sound.

(2) At the junction, turn right to complete the small counter-clockwise loop. The path is largely well-maintained. Depending on the tide, you can venture out onto the shore to take photos.

(2) Once you've completed the loop, return to the start of the well-maintained path.

(1) Take the reverse route to the car park (S/E).
