Long circular loop around eastern Bordeaux through green spaces
La Bastide is a neighbourhood located on the right bank of the Garonne, east of Bordeaux. This long-neglected working-class neighbourhood is undergoing rapid change, with the conversion of industrial wastelands, multiple real estate projects, new streets... The proposed route is likely to change quickly...The aim of this walk is to connect all the green spaces larger than one hectare in this neighbourhood, avoiding traffic as much as possible and offering the most beautiful views of Bordeaux from the quays. Two shortcuts are suggested to shorten the walk.I suggest starting the walk on the left bank quays, but it is also possible to start directly from the right bank, at Place Stalingrad, at the end of the Pont de Pierre bridge. The walk can also be done by bicycle, taking care to watch out for pedestrians.

Discover the hillsides on the right bank of the Bordeaux metropolitan area as you pass through numerous parks, each with its own unique features (lakes, fountains, ponds). You’ll also enjoy remarkable views of the right bank.
The Peugue ascent
This route takes you roughly along the small River Peugue from the border between Bordeaux and Mérignac to its source in the Bois de la Princesse in Pessac. It is a well-shaded route, suitable for all seasons except during very hot weather or rainy conditions, and can be completed by mountain bike or hybrid bike (the terrain is either tarmac or clay). It is also possible on foot, but a little tedious in places (Rue des As and Rue Socrate).
Chemin du temps in the Bois de Thouars
A unique trail in France that takes you on a journey through the history of our universe. The Path of Time: each metre travelled represents 10 million years, and the 1.38 km of the Path of Time retraces the 13.8 billion years that separate us from the Big Bang. Project designed by the University of Bordeaux and its Bordeaux Astrophysics Laboratory (LAB) as part of the "Science with and for society" label and in partnership with the city of Talence.
