From anywhere on the island, you can get there by bus, taxi or car, and parking is easy along the beach. The return journey from Rivière du Tombeau can be made by bus, but be aware that there are only three buses a day and the timetable is unreliable (line 20), with a stop at Arsenal for the northbound route or to Port Louis. Alternatively, you can call a taxi or walk the 3 km to Arsenal to catch the bus.
There are a few difficult passages and a 750m detour because the seaside is very complicated. We cross the Balaclava Marine Reserve where the Citron River flows into the sea.
