Mont-Choisy beach is easily accessible by car, taxi or bus from many parts of the island. Upon arrival, the beach captivates visitors with its beauty: a long strip of white sand lined with casuarina trees that provide welcome shade. The beach is public and open to all.
Walking along the shore, you gradually reach Trou-aux-Biches, where the large hotels are located. Here, Mauritian law reminds us that the coastline belongs to everyone: access is free up to the high tide line, in what is known as the fifteen geometric steps, or about fifteen metres beyond the line left by the sea.
After the (1), far from the hustle and bustle of the main beach, the landscape changes. The coastline becomes wilder and more rocky, until you reach (2), where Pointe-aux-Biches, formed of large volcanic rocks, juts out into the ocean.
When you arrive, simply walk back up to the road to find the bus stops and taxis.
