Fifth stage of the five-day "GRP® de la Valserine" hiking tour. This multi-day route quickly leaves the city behind and gradually climbs to reach the Retord Plateau. You will have a beautiful view of the path ahead and, if you are lucky, a panorama of the Alps. Then cross over to the other side of the Jura mountains via Giron 1000, the highest commune in the Ain department. The Monts Jura resort in the village of Lélex will welcome you and help you prepare to climb the highest peaks of the Jura, ending on a high note with a visit to the Pertes de la Valserine. This crossing immerses you in the heart of the Haute Chaîne du Jura, for an authentic experience in the great outdoors.
