La Pierre d'Avenon in Bormes-les-Mimosas
The Saint-François car park in Bormes-les-Mimosas is the starting point for this hike. Once on the ridge, this route offers splendid views of the Hyères harbour, the Bormes harbour, the Hyères Islands, Cap Bénat and far beyond towards the Alps. The Pierre d'Avenon, a crystalline chaos, is an exceptional promontory from which to enjoy a 360° view of the landscape. The route is marked in blue for most of the way. Most of the route is shaded by Mediterranean vegetation consisting of oak and arbutus trees. It presents no technical difficulties, although some short sections are quite steep among the rocks. The hike ends with a visit to the Chapel of Constance before descending to the village via the Way of the Cross, marked by a few oratories.

The Grande Traversée des Maures: Collobrières - La Garde-Freinet
The Grande Traversée des Maures, Montem Maurum described in the Middle Ages, has never been attempted. This "diagonal of the Maures" allows us to discover magnificent Provençal landscapes. Varied, wild vegetation and exceptional views punctuate this route, which starts in Collobrières (capital of the Maures) and leads to La Garde Freinet, the highest village in the Massif des Maures.
Towards the Chartreuse de la Verne
A pleasant hike in the countryside and a visit to the Chartreuse de la Verne.
You can also access this hike by taking the ST Julien path (on the left at the first traffic lights when coming from Toulon). The dam area is no longer accessible by car. Park before the barrier on the right-hand side of the road near a small wood and continue on foot to the dam.
La Garde-Freinet - Roquebrunne-sur-Argens
This final stage, which links La Garde-Freinet to Roquebrune-sur-Argens, is part of the Grande Traversée des Maures "Montem Maurum". This diagonal route across the Maures mountains offers magnificent views amid varied and wild vegetation. The Rocher de Roquebrune appears from an original angle, in all its dazzling beauty.
