Ailly-sur-Noye lake

Description of the walk

(S) Park near the care home in Ailly-sur-Noye.
Follow the yellow signposts heading towards Berny-sur-Noye via Rue de Berny. Cross the river and continue straight on until you reach the bend.

(1) Turn right onto the red-and-white signpostedGR®124route, Rue du Biais. Follow it to Jumel along a dirt track that runs past pastures, poplar groves and ponds.

(2) Further on, turn right onto Rue du Général de Gaulle and cross a bridge. At the Rd920, turn left.

(3) Immediately, turn right onto Rue Jules Verne. This becomes a dirt track and leads onto a small road (an ancient Roman road that linked Lutetia–Paris to Samarobriva–Amiens).

(4) Follow the ancient Roman road to the left. Cross the Rd920 and continue straight on for 800 metres until you reach the path branching off to the left (GR®124).
