Park near the town hall of Saint Jean de la Porte, 300 metres away.
The first information board invites you to discover the history of wine-growing in the village.
(S) The route heads towards Les Reys and then Les Grangettes, where you will soon find the yellow signposts.
When you reach the hamlet of Les Grangettes, the markings indicate a direct route or a more touristy route; choose the latter. Information panels and even audio installations provide explanations about the vineyards and winegrowers, rural life, and metallurgy between Bauges and Maurienne.
Take the time to visit the hamlet of Les Grangettes with its narrow streets. The winegrowers' huts, temporary dwellings for winegrowers who came down from Les Bauges, have been beautifully restored by new permanent and temporary residents.
(1) On leaving the hamlet, turn left towards the Pont des Dames. This is a shaded path that climbs a little more steeply. It is said that the women from the hamlets used to take this path to go to the market in Saint Pierre d'Albigny. This path crosses a first track before arriving at a second one very close to the Ménard fountain basin.
(2) Take the path that descends to the left towards Pont des Dames (583 m) on Rau du Morbié. The route follows the track and crosses a meadow (pay close attention to the markings), then rejoins a forest path where you will quickly feel the coolness of the stream.
From the bridge, climb back up towards the hamlet of Combefolle. The path climbs steeply again and leads to a track.
(3) Turn left.
From there, descend to the hamlet of Combefolle, where you should not forget to visit the restored oven and wash house.
The marked route then follows sections of road, paths and trails to take us back to our starting point. You can also follow the road downhill, but it's a little longer.
(4) Turn left.
(5) Turn right.
As you descend, note the views of the surrounding peaks, including the massive Dent d'Arclusaz.
