The trail starts from the car park at Place du Château in Richebourg.
(S/E) With your back to the car park, turn right and then immediately left onto Route de Gressey. At the fork, continue straight ahead onto Rue de la Couture and at the end turn right onto Chemin des Pointes. Ignore the turn-off to the left.
(1) Immediately turn left onto Rue des Sablons. Cross the D112 with caution and take the GRP® des Yvelines. Walk through the woods with the GRP®, ignoring all the turn-offs on the side.
(2) When you leave the forest, continue until you reach a small road (there are farm buildings on your left).
(3) Take Rue de la Mare Liseron opposite. At the fork, turn left onto the GRP® until you reach a road.
(4) First turn right then left to take a path towards a wood. Further on, turn right along the path until you reach a crossroads.
(5) Leave the GRP® and head straight ahead. At the next fork, turn left onto Chemin de la Tuilerie. Ignore a path on the left. At the junction with the D983, turn left until you reach a crossroads.
(6) Turn right onto Rue du Pré Saint-Martin and walk past the town hall (there is a pump in the car park). Pass a street on your right, then walk to the end of Rue du Vieux Lavoir and back to see the old wash house. On your return, turn right towards the church.
(7) Walk back and forth along Rue du Pré Saint-Martin to see the church pond and its pump. On your return, turn right onto Rue de la Croix Saint-Anne (towards Prunay-le-Temple). Cross a crossroads and continue to another triangular crossroads.
(8) Turn left onto Chemin des Merisiers. At the next crossroads, turn right. Cross a road, pass a turning on the left and continue to a T-junction. Turn left.
(9) At another T-junction, turn right and continue until you reach a road. Cross it and take a path at the edge of the forest. Ignore a turning on the right.
(10) At the crossroads, turn right through the woods onto the GR®22 (marked with a CR no. 50 sign). Ignore all turnings off to the side until you reach a road. Turn right and proceed with caution for about 400 metres.
(11) Follow the GR® trail to the left opposite a road. Continue along this trail, which turns right at the edge of the forest. Stay on the GR® trail at the edge of the woods, turning left further on and continuing to a fork.
(12) Turn left onto the GR® and continue until you reach a T-junction, where you will leave the GR® and turn right for about 20 metres.
(13) Turn left.
(14) Cross a crossroads. Then turn left, cross a stud farm and take the first right, Rue de Tessé, until you reach the Avre Aqueduct (there is a sign indicating priority to the right).
(15) Turn right, with the stud farm on your right, and follow the aqueduct along a stabilised path. Cross the D45 carefully and continue to the right. Walk alongside a sports field. You will reach a roundabout, which you should cross at the pedestrian crossing.
(16) Turn left to rejoin the aqueduct. Follow the GR®22 on the right, which runs alongside it until you reach a barrier.
(17) Leave the GR® and follow a GRP® to the left. Then turn right and you will come out onto a street.
(18) At the five-way crossroads, turn right onto Rue de la Croix de Saulx (sign). After 150 metres, turn left onto Rue des Lavandières and walk back to see a wash house. On your return, continue left until you reach number 15 and discover the Sausseron springs on your left. Continue towards the church.
(19) Turn right onto Rue Saint-Georges, then continue straight ahead for about 500 metres to return to the starting point (S/E).
