Description

Start at the Health Centre on New Street (pay & display parking nearby).

(S/E) Turn left and walk down Prospect Road, then right onto Queen Street. Turn left into West Wells Road.

(1) At the junction of West Wells Road, Blue Butts and West Wells Crescent walk straight ahead on to a section of the Old Coach Road.

(2) At the end of the road, cross over and bear slight left and pass through an iron gate onto a tarmac path (Old Colliery Lane). Superb views across the valley. Continue on the path until you reach a fork. Take the right fork and continue until you reach some steps and a small car park.

(3) Climb the steps, turn right onto Pildacre Hill and follow the road along Pildacre Lane and into Wesley Street. Follow Wesley Street to the Town Centre. Explore the pedestrian area around the War Memorial and Town Hall and return to Health Center.(S/E)
