A short, figure-of-eight walk that takes you past two ponds – one public and one private – as well as an old mill. You can walk around the Étang de Péronne, or even have a picnic there on one of the many benches provided. You can also park 200 metres upstream from the point (6) on the other side of the dam. For those with a hearty appetite, the Moulin restaurant is also available. Much of this walk takes place in the forest.

Chemillé - Le May-sur-Èvre
Stage Three.This stage marks the transition between the Hyrôme and the Èvre, inviting walkers to traverse a more open landscape, punctuated by country lanes through the heart of farmland. During the first part of the route, the silhouette of Notre-Dame-des-Gardes Abbey looms on the horizon, guiding the traveller’s steps and highlighting the region’s characteristic landscape. This stretch, which feels like a transition between two worlds, unfolds peacefully before returning to the more secluded and intimate atmosphere of the banks of the Èvre.

The route continues as you leave the village of Le May-sur-Èvre and head into a valley where time seems to have stood still, amidst hedgerow-lined meadows and shaded riverbanks. From chapels to castles, various points of interest punctuate your journey.
