This lovely walk through the woods along the banks of the Lié tells the story of a relocation. Since the Middle Ages, the parish of Plouguenast had developed around its Church of Saint-Pierre, which had been remodelled and embellished over the centuries. In 1834, the town council decided to rebuild it alongside the Lorient–Saint-Malo road, near the bridge crossing the River Lié, in order to “promote trade, industry and the advance of civilisation.” Along the route, you can admire beautiful stone houses, several mills and the two churches.
