Description of the walk

Start: Park at the Fuerteventura Princess Park car park.

(S/E) Head towards the motorway and walk through the tunnel underneath. Follow the road to an uphill track on your left.

(1) Turn left onto this track. This track takes you to the top of a huge embankment that joins the small Aguda summit and the ridge that leads to the Pico de Zarza.

(2) On this embankment, find the path leading off to the right on the ridge. This path is good until you reach a rocky shoulder where it becomes more difficult to see it.

(3) I recommend that you take the right-hand side of the shoulder/reinforced ridge, where the passage is not too hard. Going left is possible, but the passage is more difficult. The ridge path then joins the track over which runs a signposted path.

(4) Just follow this path to the right to the summit of Pico.

(5) The trail ends here. Continue on the well-marked path to the summit of Pico de Zarza.

(6) Enjoy the view of Cofete Beach, but don't lean out too far. For the descent, take the opposite route to the parking lot (S/E).
