Ascent to Pic du Néoulous

Start of the circular from the Ehpad de Sorède, Avenue de la Vallée Heureuse.

(S/E) Take the road towards Vallée Heureuse and continue to the second bridge, Pont del Mitg.

(1) Cross the bridge, then turn left, cross the Vallée Heureuse residential area, keeping to the right at the junctions, and arrive at the start of a track in a hairpin bend.

(2) Leave the tarmac, go through the gate (access permitted, except during fire risk periods) and follow the track to the fork near the Fontaine de l'Orri.

(3) Take the hairpin bend to the right and climb up to the next fork.

(4) Continue left for a round trip to the highest point of the Albères mountain range, the Pic du Néoulous (Puig Neulós).

(5) Turn around and return to the previous fork.

(4) Turn left and head towards the Col de l'Ouillat (Coll de l'Ullat).

(6) Descend the track on the right until you reach the next fork.

(7) Take the hairpin bend to the right and join the fork at Casot del Guarda.

(8) Continue straight ahead, staying on the main track, and descend to the Ehpad de Sorède (S/E).

(6) Chalet de l'Albère (restaurant at Coll de l'Ullat).

(7) During the descent, there are numerous opportunities to leave the trail and take single tracks, particularly at Casot del Guarda (8) to head towards Laroque des Albères.
