Description of the walk

Start: Mclean Falls car park. The car park is at the end of a track which is at one point surfaced, then back on track; go to the end and find the obvious car park, with toilets.

(S/E) From the end of the car park, take the path into the forest.

(1) At the first junction, keep right to see the waterfalls. The path follows the river more or less closely, before crossing it and climbing a little higher. A slightly exposed passage with steps leads to the first waterfall.

(2) At this first waterfall, enjoy and carry on a little further to see the large cascade. Then turn around to return to the start and car park (S/E).

Notes

Start: Mclean Falls car park. The car park is at the end of a track which is at one point surfaced, then back on track; go to the end and find the obvious car park, with toilets.

Terrain: The trail is very wet. Towards the end, it is indicated that there is a risk of falling rocks, so don't pause at this point and let people pass on the narrow sections.

Facilities: Toilets are available at the start.
