From the N106, take the small road on the left towards Saint-Privat and continue until you reach a square (boules pitch, town hall/post office) where there are several parking spaces available. Follow the yellow markings to the Col de l'Ancise.
(S/E) Go to the temple, just north of the square, and follow the yellow markings up the fairly steep path to the right of the temple. Join a street and follow it to the right. It leads to a village of lodges and, more importantly, a beautiful12th-century church.
(1) Continue along the street that goes around the church and cemetery on the left, then, still following the yellow markings, climb straight up a fairly steep path to reach the Col des Hauts de Saint-Privat.
(2) Continue along the path on the left, through the undergrowth, following the ridge. The yellow markings become less frequent, but the path is obvious. Follow my trail without worrying about the path marked on the IGN map, which is incorrect. You will eventually emerge from the woods into a small moorland area offering beautiful views, then you will quickly arrive at a small road at the Col de l'Ancise.
(3) Follow the road to the left for about a hundred metres, then turn left onto a path marked by theGR®®670(red and white) which descends gently through the woods.
(4) When theGR®® makes a hairpin bend to the right, continue straight ahead on the path, following the sign for "Les Hauts de Saint-Privat, Village de lodges, etc." This path leads to the12th-century church.
(1) Follow the same route back to the car park at the bottom of the village (S/E).
