Park in the car park of the new Langlade town hall, near the D14 roundabout, or in the car park of the community centre, next to the greenway.
(S/E) Join the greenway behind the new town hall, cross the Route des Pinèdes (RD 14) and follow the greenway for a few dozen metres towards Caveirac.
At the first intersection, leave the greenway and take the dirt track that runs alongside it on the left. Follow this track, which passes close to vineyards and overlooks much of the Vaunage plain.
(1) After about 1 km, the path descends to an intersection at a bridge. Turn right and pass under the greenway. Go straight up the other side and continue on the path that climbs towards the olive groves on the left. The path then narrows and turns into a trail that gradually enters the heath.
Continue along the main path, which runs more or less straight ahead and then climbs steeply in a large right-hand bend. Follow this path until you reach a wider path on a small plateau, the Serre de Fourier.
(2) Take this path on the right and, a little further on, turn right onto a single-track trail that leads into the undergrowth. Follow this winding trail, passing a pretty drystone shelter and then a watering hole, until you reach a DFCI firebreak track next to a horse boarding facility, the Bois de Paris stables.
Turn right onto the track, go over a bump and, a few dozen metres further on, take the path on the left, which initially runs parallel to the track, then turn completely left into the heath.
Descend this new winding single track to reach another DFCI track at a beautiful drystone shelter.
(3) Turn left, pass the Bois de Paris stables and then, at the Carrefour du Terme Rouge crossroads, continue straight on towards Art Païs.
Shortly after the intersection, turn right onto the path that runs alongside a fallow field at the edge of the heath. Stay on the main track, which descends to the left and enters the heath via a series of small bends.
(4) Once on a new DFCI track, the old Nîmes road, continue straight ahead on the track that descends opposite the path.
Pass by a large field occupied by horses, then just after on the left, you will find the Langlade Fountain.
Continue along this track on a long straight stretch and, after a left turn, then a right turn, look for the clapas (stone wall) on the right.
(5) At the end of this wall, turn right onto a path, pass in front of an old abandoned mazet (stone hut) and continue on the other side of the mazet, down a steep descent that joins the Combe de Julien. Descend this valley through the undergrowth until you reach a track at the end of the path.
(6) Go up the Valat de Canzert on the right and, after a right-hand bend, go up a stony path on the left.
Join a small track and continue climbing on the right. At a cavity resembling a spring, turn left onto a path that leads into the heath and descends to an intersection of four tracks at an altitude of 65 m.
(7) Take the track opposite, which climbs through the pine trees. Descend on the other side and, at the bottom of the descent, turn left along the vineyards.
At the first right-hand bend, leave the path and join the trail on the left after a small barrier that allows you to cross the ditch.
Follow this path downhill until you reach an area with beautiful, well-maintained clapas. This is the drystone shelter site of the Cornier.
(8) Turn right and cross this area of drystone shelters and clapas built and restored by the Clapassaïres.
After the first drystone shelters, continue straight ahead on a track. A little further on, an arrow indicates that you should take a path on the right. Follow it to reach an area of white oaks with more drystone shelters and wooden benches and tables.
Then turn left to find a drystone shelter, slightly hidden under a few steps, and join a dirt track just after it.
(9) Turn left onto this path and join the DFCI B21 track. Then follow it to the right to reach a large intersection with the DFCI B20.
(10) Take the DFCI B20 track that climbs to the right. After a short descent, carefully cross the RD 14 and continue opposite on the Chemin (tarmac) du Rossignol.
This small road then becomes a track and arrives at a barrier at the entrance to the Bois de Bernis.
(11) Go through the barrier, then turn right onto a DFCI track. At another barrier, climb up to the left along a stony path through the woods and rejoin the DFCI track further up. Follow it to the left and you will reach the houses on Chemin de Tres Patas.
(12) Follow Chemin de Tres Patas straight ahead until you reach Route de Nages (RD 137), at the Jacques Bertoni leisure centre.
Continue straight ahead on Impasse du Moulin à Vent, then turn left and follow the path marked with yellow signs. Pass by a pretty drystone shelter and arrive at the large meadow of Moulin Cavalier.
(13) Go down a small path on the right behind the mill and reach a turning area at the end of the cul-de-sac overlooking the village. Go down on the left along a stony path that joins Rue de la Paved Slanting Street.
Go down this steep street and, at the bottom, turn left, then immediately right into Rue du Chasselas and finally left onto Chemin des Aires. Follow this street under the plane trees to return to the car park of the new town hall (S/E).
