(S/E) Turn left as you leave the car park. After 100 metres, turn right onto the “Sente du Château” just after number 15. At the T-junction, turn right onto “Allée du Château” and follow it for 100 metres.

(1) At the junction, turn left onto “Rue de l’Égalité”. Walk past the cemetery on your left.

(2) Turn right onto a wide field path between two laurel hedges, and follow it for 1.5 km to the T-junction amongst the tall trees. Follow the blue signposting to the right along a stony path that climbs gently for 200 metres.

(3) Turn left onto the dirt track and head due east for 1,000 metres; this becomes a concrete path for about 200 metres. Look out for a marker post.

(4) At a junction, turn right at a right angle onto the concrete track which climbs south-east for about 500 metres to reach the Rumes–Bachy road. Horse-drawn carriage marker

(5) At the T-junction, turn right onto the concrete road heading south-west, which leads back towards Bachy. Follow this road for about 800 metres. (White transformer on the right)

(6) Just before the last house in the village, turn left onto the cobbled lane heading south, called Rue du Bray. After 600 metres, the lane bends to the right. 200 metres past the bend, veer to the left, leaving the farm and greenhouses on your right. Continue for about 1 km until you reach the T-junction. (7) Head left onto the tarmac road leading to the Douai–Tournai road. Follow the road to the left for about twenty metres, then cross the A-road with care.

(8) Turn right onto the road towards La Glanerie. Follow the road to the left for about 400 metres. At the end of the row of houses on the left, leave the road and take a grassy path leading off to the left.

(9) Follow the grassy path to the right for 800 metres until you reach the tarmac road. Head left for 40 metres and cross the road with care, then turn right opposite the bus shelter. Follow Rue du Toupet to the right, then turn right opposite the bus shelter onto Rue Royale for 800 metres.

(10) At the junction, turn left onto Rue du Bas Préau towards Howardries. At the motorbike-shaped monument, follow the right-hand branch towards Mouchin and France

(11) 100 metres after crossing the bridge over the Elnon, turn right onto Rue des Frères Franquet. Follow this road to the T-junction with Rue de Saint-Amand, continue to the right towards the centre of Mouchin, then head north-west for 800 metres.

(12) 200m after the last farm on the left, turn left into Rue Basse opposite the ‘Domain du Secret’ housing estate. Continue for 600m. At the junction with the Tournai–Douai road, turn right and cross with care, then turn left towards Genech.

(13) Turn left onto Rue Verte. After 100m,
keep to the right for 1,000 metres and turn left onto a dirt track that leads downhill, following it for 800 metres.

(14) Turn right onto the tarmac road, Rue Georges Herent, and continue straight on for about 2 km along Rue du Bois de Bercu.

(15) 150 metres past the industrial livestock farm, turn left onto the dirt track signposted ‘Jaune’. Follow it for 1 km.

(16) At the T-junction, turn right towards the north until you reach the next T-junction. Turn left onto Carrière de la Cour Lassu. After 100m, turn right onto Chemin des Tourelles until you reach Route Mouchin-Genech, 100m further on.

(17) Head left along Route Mouchin-Genech for 400 metres and turn right into Rue Jules Brienne, following it for 400 metres.

(18) Turn left onto Rue de la Croix and then keep right onto Rue du Riez. Continue along Rue de Convelin until you reach the T-junction. Turn left and continue for 300 metres; the chapel is on your right

(19) Keep right heading east, and keep right at the stop sign.

(20) 200 metres further on, take a cobbled path on the right signposted in yellow, ignoring the turnings to the left and then to the right. At the T-junction opposite the chapel, turn left (north-east) until you reach the Mouchin Bachy district road. Cross the road carefully, in front of the house marked ‘Hôtel’, and turn left after 100 metres.

(21) Take a dirt track on the right which curves slightly northwards and follow it for 1 km. Turn left at the junction and continue straight on for 150 metres until you reach Rue Léo Lagrange.

(22) Turn right onto the Sentier de la Vierge Bleue, then follow the tarmac road to the media library car park (S/E).
