The start of the Vallon de Passe-Temps is located in the small village of La Treille. However, it is virtually impossible to park there. The start will therefore be from the car park at the end of Chemin de Ruissatel, which is on the left of the Route d'Éoures (D44) near Font de Mai. A small circular route will be followed to return to the start of the initial path.
Park in the large car park next to the Puits de Raimu.
(S/E) Continue along the tarmac road, then turn left towards Col d'Aubignane. Pass Mas de Massacan and continue along the road, which turns into a DFCI track (barrier).
(1) At Col d'Aubignane, turn left towards an electricity pylon, heading towards La Treille. Go down the path that runs alongside the yellow markers indicating gas pipes.
(2) When the path narrows as it enters the forest, descend the steep slope on the right that leads to the valley. Turn right: there is a cave in the bushes a few metres further on the right. Continue into the valley and admire the details of the rocky outcrops on the left. Pass by an old stone hunting post.
(3) In the clearing, turn right and immediately after, keep to the right to take the small path that leads into the vegetation. The path then veers off to the right as it climbs. Pass below the Baume de Passe-Temps: it is possible to access it, but the slope is steep and the vegetation dense. Continue climbing, which becomes increasingly difficult in the Vallon de Précatori.
(4) At the first crossroads (Le Jardinier), take the track on the right towards Le Puits du Mûrier. Pass the well on the left in a small recess.
(5) In the clearing, follow the path on the right that climbs towards Garlaban (signposted on a rock, yellow markings). The path climbs and then levels out on a plateau.
(6) At the top, keep to the right. The path then descends with a few rocky sections.
(7) At the first intersection, turn right and descend towards Vallon des Piches. After passing through some scree, you will arrive at Pas de la Heath. Keep to the right. The trail then climbs slightly to cross Col Salis.
(8) Turn left to reach the Grotte du Cerf and then the Grotte du Plantier (or Grotte de Manon). The Grotte du Cerf is located at the top, in the scree between the two rocky slopes. To reach it, take the path that climbs steeply to the left and passes above the Grotte de Manon. Climb up the scree and visit the cave, which features a basin with handprints by Marcel Pagnol, Orane Demazis and Marius Brouquier.
(9) Turn back and then visit the Grotte de Manon or Baume du Plantier. Descend opposite to join the Vallon des Piches path (signposted).
(10) Turn left, keep left and arrive at the Col d'Aubignane.
(1) Follow the DFCI track opposite, then the tarmac road to reach the car park (S/E).
