The start and finish point is at the car park by the church in Feytiat.
(S/E) Walk up Avenue Winston Churchill, past Place de la Croix des Rameaux and the next cul-de-sac.
Turn left to go round the buildings on the left, then turn right onto Allée d’Auvergne. Turn left onto Rue de Bourgogne, then turn right onto the path that joins the D979 (Route d’Eymoutiers), crossing Allée du Poitou.
(1) Use the pedestrian crossing to cross the D979. Opposite, take the small road branching off to the right. Walk past the Ferme des Pauses then continue along the dirt track.
(2) At the crossroads, turn right, then turn right again onto a path that leads to a wide forest lane lined with oak and beech trees.
(3) At the road, turn left and follow it for 700 m.
(4) At the water tower, turn right into the Bois de la Grange. The path leads into a housing estate. Follow the road opposite and you will come back to the D979. Walk along it on the left before crossing it opposite the residential area.
(5) Head straight on towards the small housing estate of Ardennes. The road ends in a path.
The path, running along the ridge, offers beautiful views of the Monts des Cars, Limoges and Feytiat.
(6) Turn right onto the very wide path leading to the old hamlet of Ardennes (Croix des Rameaux on some maps). Cross to the left and come out onto the D98.
(7) Turn right onto it and head up towards the village of Feytiat. At the crossroads, turn left to return to the church car park (S/E).
