Go to the Col de Portet d'Aspet and park in the car park.
(S/E) Take the track south-east between the houses above the car park. It passes alongside the Camping des Asphodèles campsite.
(1) At the fork, continue to the right. Pass Le Soulan then follow the left.
(2) At the crossroads, continue straight ahead on the track and reach the Col de la Bène.
(3) Follow the track to the left, heading south, and climb until you come to a horizontal track, which you take to the left for about 100 metres.
(4) Head up to the right, heading due south.
(5) At around 1,390 m, turn north-east, then 150 m further on, turn right, heading south-south-east towards Col de l'Artigue, through the forest.
(6) From the pass, at around 1,440 m, climb up to the right to the Cabane du Bazet at an altitude of 1,478 m.
(7) From there, descend slightly, heading south-west, towards a small pass, then turn right and climb gently towards the summit of Puech at an altitude of 1669 metres.
(8) Return via the same route to (S/E).
