Park at the church in Vuillafans.
(S/E) Behind the church, head towards Grande Rue, following the yellow and blue sign for Lods.
Continue to the intersection with the Route de Pontarlier.
(1) Turn right onto this road until you reach a three-way intersection.
(2) Take the middle road, which is Chemin de Croux. Follow the yellow and blue signs. Then turn left onto Chemin des Vignes and follow the stone road that runs alongside the Croux vineyards.
Continue to the end of the vineyards.
(3) Keep right in the pasture via the designated path.
Stay on the right-hand path, following the previous signposts, to reach the RD67 departmental road.
(4) Cross and continue on the left along the road to reach the hamlet of Grand Watercourse. Cross it until you reach the last houses.
(5) Take the wooden steps on the left with theGR®595sign, marked in red and white. Go up the dirt track just above (quite steep) to reach the Lods sign at the top.
(6) Turn right towards Lods, leaving theGR®595trail on your left.
Follow the path to the cemetery. Walk along the left-hand side to return to the road and descend on the right until you reach the junction with Rue de l'Église.
(7) Turn right onto Rue de Reine. Go down for about 50 metres, then take the stairs on the right marked Fontaine du Bas.
At the bottom of the steps, turn left and follow the Loue river along Route de Besançon until you reach the bridge over the Loue.
Cross the Loue river on the stone bridge.
After the bridge, turn right onto Chemin des Forges and look for the yellow and blue signs.
Follow this path to reach the metal stairs on the right with the sign for Vuillafans.
(8) Go down the stairs and continue on the left along the Loue, crossing the campsite.
At the campsite exit, go through the small wooden gate and continue along the dirt track, following the signs for Vuillafans, until you reach the RD27 road in a bend.
(9) Take Rue du Vieux Château, Champ des Maux and Crais Bordey in succession. Then turn left into Rue des Deux Tunnels, then Rue Gérard.
At the junction with Rue Saint-Claude, turn right, cross the Loue river and you will return to Rue Saint-Antoine, which will take you back to the car park (S/E).
