The Pescheray Estate

Le Breil and Nuillé are two villages of ancient origin. In the Middle Ages, Le Breil, or Breuil, was a seigneurial hunting ground. Nuillé, first mentioned in the9th century, still has a small Romanesque church.

Description of the walk

Start at Saint-Pierre Church, where there are parking spaces.

(S/E) From Saint-Pierre Church, head towards the war memorial, then take Rue Armand Charbonnier on the right. Continue along the road for 1 km, then turn right at the junction with Chemin des Épautières before taking the (downhill) path at Le Patis.

(1) Cross the Mérize then turn left, following the edge of the woods.

(2) When you reach the road, turn left, then immediately turn right and cross the D20 before walking alongside the football stadium.

(3) Continue straight on along Rue des Pins, then turn right. Keeping to the left at the crossroads, follow the road for 2.5 km to the Domaine de Pescheray.

(4) Pass in front of the château and the entrance to the zoo, then take the path on the left and follow the edge of the park.

(5) When you reach the D266, turn left, then at the three-way junction, turn right towards Les Guérières. Continue along the road.

(6) Pass through the hamlet of Guilmet, then turn left.

(7) Pass in front of La Haute Logerie then take the path on the left. At the crossroads, continue straight ahead and join Rue des Lauriers, which you should follow to the left.

(8) When you reach the D33, turn left onto it and then immediately right onto Rue du Coupry. Take Rue des Quatre Vents on the right and turn immediately left to reach the church (S/E).
