Park in the car park in front of the town hall.
(S/E) With the town hall on your right, head south along Rue Saint-Amand. Follow this road, keeping to the right, until you reach Place de la Boulangerie and the stop sign at Rue de Liverdun.
(1) Cross carefully and take Chemin de Jaillon opposite. Follow this path south-west to the hamlet of Les Fromards at the entrance to the forest. Stay on this path for another kilometre or so, this time in the forest, until you reach the crossroads at the bottom of the descent.
(2) At the sign indicating the entrance to the Natrou National Forest, take the path on the right which follows a small valley that is cool even in the height of summer. In early spring, this valley is full of wild garlic, giving off its characteristic scent. Ignore the north-east paths on the right that criss-cross the forest and, after about 700 metres, you will come to a fork.
(3) The route turns sharply right to the north, then at the next junction to the north-east, climbing through the woods towards Saizerais.
(4) Upon exiting the woods, the route follows a good path that runs alongside farmland. In the evening, it is not uncommon to see a few bold deer venturing out into the open at this spot. The path, which quickly becomes passable by vehicle, offers beautiful views across the banks of the Moselle. You can see the villages of Bezaumont and Sainte-Geneviève, even though they are more than 10 km away.
Ignore a path on the left and arrive at the D907.
(5) Cross carefully and take the Fourchevoie path opposite, which descends towards Saint-Georges. The path crosses the Villers-en-Haye road.
(6) Cross this road and continue straight ahead. You will reach the first houses of Saint-Georges and the stop sign at the crossroads with Rue Saint-Georges.
(7) Turn right onto Rue Saint-Georges to return to the starting point, passing in front of the church (S/E).
