Start: The Grist, Laugharne. There are a number of car parks in the area SA33 4SX. You can also take the 222 bus from either Pendine or Carmarthen, which stops at The Grist in Laugharne (see Notes).
(S/E) Start on The Grist, facing River Taf and head to the footbridge on the beach just below the castle. Follow for 150 metres and take the path to the left, leaving Dylan's Birthday Walk. Reach a minor road and keep right, through houses. From Victoria Street, turn right and follow Cliff Road for about 500 metres to reach Dylan Thomas boathouse, passing Dylan Thomas writing shed on the way.
(1) If time permits, visit Dylan Thomas boathouse (small charge, also a nice cafe).
Follow the road and then the footpath, keeping the River Taf on your right for about 2 kilometres, until you reach a house.
(2) Keep the house to your right and pass it. The route bears left away from the river and climbs to eventually reach a road on your left.
(3) Take the road to the left, and follow it when it bends right in about 100 metres. Follow the road until you pass the church on your right. Follow the road around a right bend, with the church still on your right. Go past a road on your left, looking for a gap on the left into the graveyard.
(4) Dylan Thomas's gravestone is off to your left, about 20 metres. After viewing the gravestone, return to the graveyard entrance and turn left down to the main road. Turn left to return to Laugharne and the parking or bus stop near The Grist, which is about 1 kilometre away.(S/E)
