Description of the walk

Parking at Hardly Dyke or nearby Hardly Church.

(S/E) Begin by Hardly Dyke, follow the footpath sign along the field edge, between some houses and onto the road.

(1) After passing Avenue Farm, turn right onto Hardly Road

(2) Turn Right onto Gentleman's Walk

(3) Right turn onto a Bridleway

(4) Turn left onto Staithe Road, then immediately right onto Stone Lane, following the lane as it turns into bridleway

(5) Turn right, passing Langley Abbey on the left side

(6) At the war memorial turn left, and immediately left through the gate onto Langley Dike Staithe

(7) Turn right through a gate onto the river side foot path and follow this path along the river Yare past Cantley sugar factory on the opposite bank and Hardly Wind Pump.

(8) Continue straight all the way to the starting point of the walk (S/E) .

Hardly Wind Pump (8) is open to visitors for a small charge from 10am to 4pm on Saturdays and Sundays from April to September.
