Lam Nam Kok and Huai Kael waterfall

A fantastic loop in the middle of the jungle with a wide trail for 80% of the hike.

The waterfall halfway through is worth the detour!

The trail is generally quite wide and does not require any technical skills. Be careful of the intense heat of Southeast Asia.

Description of the walk

(S) From Lam Nam Kok National Park, accessible by motorbike, you can set off on an adventure to Huai Kaeo Waterfall (3).

(1) BE CAREFUL at this point

We wanted to follow the dotted line visible on the map, but a local Thai told us that the path was impassable... He showed us another small path that first descends towards a stream, then climbs up the hill to join the other dotted line.

The rest of the path to the point (2) is quite wild and challenging. The village at this point has a few dogs, which are not vicious but do bark. Their owners are there to calm them down.
There is no problem accessing the waterfall (3) and completing the loop.

Return to the park where you probably parked your scooter. There is a nice restaurant opposite the hot springs that you will have seen 1.5 km before the end (E)

Worth a visit

Waterfall 5 minutes from the trail (3) that is worth a detour to cool off during your mid-trip break.
