Start at Esplanade du Commandant Menguy.
(S/E) Follow the path along the seafront. Continue along Quai Solidor then enter the grounds of the former arsenal until you reach the slipway of the old boat, the Ar Zenith.
(1) Go round the building and take the steps to join the coastal path through Parc des Corbières.
Follow the coastal path as close as possible to the Rance. Exit through the gate above Plage des Corbières. Head down to the right, following the red and white markings ofthe GR® 34. You will arrive at the gate for the Route de la Roche aux Mouettes.
(2) Turn right to reach and take Rue des Fours à Chaux on the right. At the bottom of the descent, head right onto the Passage de la Rance between the stone walls. At the end, go up to the right towards Boulevard du Rosais.
(3) At the bend, turn right onto Chemin du Vau Garni. Walk alongside the Rosais marine cemetery. Head down towards Rosais Beach (view of the Rance dam).
(4) Go through the gate and continue along Chemin du Vau Garni to the T-junction.
(5) Continue straight ahead along Chemin du Vau Garni to the roundabout.
(6) Turn right into Parc de la Briantais. Feel free to make the most of your visit; to continue the route, we suggest walking past the château. Return to the roundabout you passed earlier.
(6) Head down to the left along Chemin de Vau.
(5) Turn right through the gate of the Briantais Medical Centre. Head down the path to the left through the pine woods. You will reach the pond in Parc Du Vau Garni; walk along its left side and exit through the gate, which is open during the day.
(4) Head up Chemin de Vau to the right.
(3) Turn right onto Boulevard du Rosais. After Rue Jules Haize, turn left onto Rue Constantin Tavet, then head diagonally along Rue des Petites Landes. At Boulevard du Rosais, turn right then left onto Rue du Clos Joli and join Rue des Fours à Chaux.
(7) Walk past the buildings on the right, then turn left onto Rue du Génie, coming out onto Rue de l'Équerre. Turn right, then join and turn left onto Rue Jeanne Jugan.
(8) Turn right onto Allée des Jardins Sainte-Anne and continue to the Roseraie Sainte-Anne. Visit the garden and exit via the opposite corner on the left towards Rue Jean XXIII. Continue left then right between the warehouse and the Chapelle Saint-Joseph, emerging onto Boulevard Gouazon.
(9) Head to the entrance of Parc Bel Air on the left. Take the left-hand path to the boules court, then exit via the car park onto Rue Duperré. Immediately on the left, take the steps and enter Passage Robinot. Continue left along Rue des Bas Sablons to Place Monseigneur Duchesne.
(10) Cross Parc Monseigneur Duchesne to reach the sea wall and the Sablons lighthouse below. Continue left towards the harbour.
(11) Take the steps on the left leading to the Cité d'Aleth. Follow the path along the coast, passing the entrances to the memorial.
(12) At the south-western tip, go down the steps on the right and continue left towards the tide gauge platform. Carry on straight ahead along Chemin de la Corderie to its end.
(13) Go down the steps on the right and walk along the cove of Cale Saint-Pierre. Continue left along Quai Sébastopol. Head towards the Esplanade du Commandant Menguy (S/E).
