The Hermeton and Bonne Fontaine

Relatively unknown to hikers, the Hermeton is a rather wild river in the province of Namur, which flows into the Meuse on the left bank at Hermeton-sur-Meuse. This very accessible hike sets out to explore it around Soulme, passing by the Bonne-Fontaine site, its source, its tufa and its chapel located on the hillside between the Hermeton and Vodelée.

Description of the walk

Soulme is ranked among the most beautiful villages in Wallonia. While Soulme has a few gems, the villages of Vodelée and Gochenée are not to be outdone, and some of the local stone houses are sometimes better showcased there.

In addition to the river, these three villages and the Bonne-Fontaine site, the route offers beautiful panoramic views of this hilly region, hop fields and a few traces of beavers.
