Description of the walk

Parking: Walmart supermarket car park, Sherbrook Street East.

(S/E) Exit the car park with your back to Walmart, take Rue Sherbrook East at the end of the car park and turn left. Walk up this street to the intersection with Boulevard de l'Ascension (approximately 1.4 km). Cross the boulevard and take the alley on the right that leads to the Olympic Village. You will arrive at the first roundabout.

(1) Follow the lane at the foot of this imposing pyramid-shaped building. Join Sherbrook Street at the intersection with Viau Street. Cross Viau Street and take the lane that enters Maisonneuve Park.

(2) Take the second lane on the right and follow it, ignoring the turns to the left or right, until you reach the T-junction with the wide bend of another lane.

(3) Turn left (or continue further into the park) and walk to the Maisonneuve Park Chalet (toilets). Go around it and take Sherbrook Street to the right. Turn right after the car park to enter the botanical garden (visits are possible for a fee).

(4) Turn left towards the water jets and continue straight ahead to the corner of the streets. Cross Boulevard Pie IX to the right and turn left towards Château Dufresne.

(5) Walk along Château Dufresne (on your right) and then turn left onto Avenue Pierre de Coubertin. At the roundabout, take the ramp on the left onto Avenue Desjardins to reach the Olympic Stadium (WC).

(6) Go around it on the right and pass between the stadium and the Biodôme, then turn right between the Biodôme and the Planetarium. Read § "Things to see.

(7) After the Nicolas Copernicus Monument, turn left.

(8) Walk along the car park and the Centre Pierre-Charbonneau to reach Rue Viau. Follow it to the left, then immediately turn right onto Rue de Marseille. Walk along the Coca-Cola factory. Then turn left onto Boulevard de l'Ascension until you reach the junction with Rue Chauveau.

(9) In the Notre-Dame-des-Victoires neighbourhood, walk up Rue Chauveau to the end. Turn right along Rue du Quesne, then left onto Rue de Marseille until you reach thethird street on the left, Avenue de Carignan.

(10) Turn left along the avenue for about 100 metres, then turn right onto Rue de Marseille, and finally takethe second left onto Avenue de Grandby. After about 200 metres, this leads to the car park on the right (S/E).
