_ Start _: From the car park near the seafront, in the centre of Le Courégant.
(S/E) With your back to the car park, take the route de Penher for about 600 m in a North-Easterly direction.
(1) At the right-angle bend, take the dirt track on the left, which veers off to the right. At the next intersection, turn right and continue to the village of Kerguen, where you'll find another small asphalt road. Follow this road.
(2) Pass the Chapelle Saint-Léonard and leave the village of Kerantonel on your right. Turn left towards the kaolin factory.
(3) At the fork in the road in front of the factory, turn right for about 20 m before turning left into Chemin des Kaolins. Along the way, learn about kaolin mining, fauna and flora.
In front of the golf course, turn right to reach the village of Keryan. Continue for about 100 m on the tarmac road before turning left.
(4) Follow the farm track for about 1 Km. At the end of this road, take the asphalt road on the left towards the village of Saint-Jude.
(5) Walk through the village, then at the end of the village, turn right to bypass the golf course. Cross the main road from Courégant to Fort Bloqué to reach the coast.
(6) Continue left along one of the many coastal paths to Le Courégant (3 Km).
(7) Pass along the edge of the Kaolin beach, an artificial beach made from gravel extracted from the kaolin. This beach is frequented mainly by naturists, which can be upsetting for young children. It is possible to reach Courégant by following the tarmac road, but this detracts from the charm of the hike as you no longer pass along the coastline.
(8) Turn around the rocky headland of Le Courégant before reaching the car park (S/E).
