Description of the walk

(S/E) Start in Hawes opposite the White Hart Inn. After the cemetery, turn left to join the Pennine Way. Past the church and follow the path straight to the main road.

(1) Turn left. Head straight on into Gayle Lane and bear round to the left which will lead you to the bridge where you can observe the river from both sides.

(2) To return to Hawes, head back the same way you came in and go past the footpath you used before and keep straight on the main road footpath all the way past the creamery to where another main road intersects and just bear right which takes you back into Hawes village centre.(S/E)
