Blanot – Vaux-sur-Aine – Blanot circular loop
A hilly route winding its way between the Clunisois and Mâconnais hills. Between Blanot and Azé, you’ll discover Vaux-sur-Aine and its castle, as well as La Bouzolle with its striking tower, much loved by Sacha Guitry.In any case, this is a somewhat challenging route that requires a bit of stamina and an adventurous spirit. It’s not an easy ride, but it offers its rewards.
Mont Saint-Romain - Blanot - Étang de Crue starting from Azé
From the Azé Caves car park, climb up to Mont Saint-Romain, then take a circular route around Blanot and return via the Étang de Crue. Enjoy a 360° panorama from the roof of the Mont Saint-Romain inn and a beautiful view from the orientation table above the Azé caves.

This stage begins opposite the Roches de Solutré and Vergisson, classified as a Grand Site de France, with a panoramic view of the Jura mountain ranges and Mont Blanc. You pass through two natural areas of ecological, faunistic and floristic interest (ZNIEFF) and renowned vineyards (Pouilly-Fuissé, Pouilly-Vinzelles), overlooking the châteaux of Chasselas and Vinzelles.
