Foz de Arbayun in the forest

A version of the Foz discovery route from above, on a balcony, but with many passages through the forest.

This route is not better than the others, it is just different, especially at the end to avoid too much road on the way back.
For the panoramic photos that adventurers want to take high above the cliff, I recommend a piece of rope tied to a tree.

Description of the walk

This route is short but interesting for seeing the depth of the Salazar in this limestone gorge.
I recommend using GPS to find your way, as the path is not always well marked, especially in strategic places where you need to leave the path and approach the cliff.
Be careful if you're feeling adventurous, as the edge of the precipice is very close in places and one false step could be fatal.

On the way back, I also had to search a little to find the right path, which did not always correspond to the path marked on the Open Street Map.

Worth a visit

Personally, I rounded off the afternoon with a return trip by mountain bike to Foz de Lumbier.
Admittedly, it costs €3 per person, but it's worth it.
An ice cream vendor is sometimes present.
