In the "Grandes Classiques" collection, a hike starting from the Chalets de la Balme, a route taking the Pas de la Truie, a path along the side of the rock face to reach Pointe de Sous-Dîne, then a route along the summit ridge of the Soudine (or Sous-Dîne) chain to reach the authentic summit of Montagne de Sous-Dîne. Return via the Col du Câble.

A very beautiful hike with a 360° view from the summit; a fairly long circular route that is technically very challenging. The route alternates between woodland and the sharp limestone pavement, followed by a fairly technical descent to the Col du Câble, featuring a very difficult section. This is followed by a fairly easy descent to the Chalet de Balme, then along a track suitable for vehicles, and through woodland.
Please note: an exposed section at the Col du Câble is reserved for experienced walkers who do not suffer from vertigo.

Towards La Roche-sur-Foron, it then follows small roads before reaching the Col de Fleury. It descends to the village of Thorens-Glières, continues towards Aviernoz, and reaches the village of Naves-Parmelan. The route then turns towards Dingy Saint-Clair, La Balme de Thuy, and reaches the centre of Thônes via a cycle path.
