Description of the walk

Park in the car park between Avenue de la Plage and Rue de la Bistouille.

(S/E) With your back to Avenue de la Plage, head towards the motorhome area. Cross at the pedestrian crossing and follow Rue de la Bistouille to the left until you reach the gap in the hedge. Turn right and you’ll find the start of the Sentier du Royon opposite. 

(1) Go straight on and follow the winding path to a junction. 

(2) Turn right towards Quend Plage and reach the seaside resort at Rue d’Abbeville. Then continue to the right towards the sea.

(3) Head right to walk along the seafront, especially if the path slopes downwards, as this is easier. Reach Fort-Mahon-Plage and continue to the beach access ramp. 

(4) Turn right to go up the ramp and reach the Esplanade Sud. Follow it, turning left, and continue to the end of Avenue de la Plage. 

(5) Turn right to follow it along the right-hand pavement and return to the car park (S/E).
