Start from the car park located at 21 Rue Robert Marchand.
(S/E) Start by heading south on the Coulée Verte. Take the footbridge over the RER B line. Continue on this shared pedestrian and cycle path until you reach a wide avenue. Cross it at two traffic light crossings separated by a central reservation and rejoin the Coulée Verte after the second traffic light.
(1) Continue straight ahead on the right-hand lane. Follow this lane uphill, crossing two narrow streets in succession to reach a wider road. Cross this road and continue along the Coulée Verte for a few kilometres. Just after passing under the A86 motorway and after two hairpin bends, leave the Coulée Verte to reach the entrance to Parc des Alisiers.
(2) Cross this park with great caution as there is a children's playground.
(3) At the park exit, continue straight ahead for about 50 metres along a cycle path, then take a street on the left and then the first right, Rue Saint-Gervais. At the end of this street, slightly to the right, take the unpaved cycle path in a small park.
(4) At the end of this path, turn right onto Rue Camille Pelletan, then continue straight ahead at the traffic lights onto Rue des Grillons. After a left turn alongside the Sophie Bara School Complex, turn right for a few metres and at the traffic lights, take the first right. Please note that this is a very busy road as it leads to an entrance to the A86 motorway and there is no cycle lane. Follow it for about 200 metres until you reach the traffic lights and cross the road using the pedestrian crossing.
(5) Just opposite, follow a small cycle path and enter the Forêt de Verrières. Please note: the entrance to the path can be tricky and the first hundred metres are narrow and sometimes muddy. Further on, the path widens and becomes tarmac. Continue uphill and at the roundabout, take the path opposite, which is clearly visible and relatively wide, still uphill.
(6) At the top of the slope, take the short path on the left, which leads to a beautiful viewpoint. Beautiful in the sense of the Paris suburbs: we are not in the mountains or by the sea, but as always in autumn, the colours are very beautiful. Return to the main route.
(6) Continue left on a peaceful forest road. At the first crossroads, take the Route de la Châtaigneraie at 135° to the right. Follow it without paying attention to the small paths on the right or left; after a few slight bends and after passing two small ponds, you will arrive at the Carrefour du Marquis.
(7) Then turn right onto Route Forestière Verte. Continue to a crossroads and carefully cross a road open to motor vehicles. Leave Route Verte and take Route Forestière de la Genetrière, opposite, at 135 degrees to the left.
(8) At the first crossroads (Carrefour des Noisettes), take the first road on the right (currently signposted Abbaye au Bois) and continue straight on for about 1.6 km until you reach Carrefour du Petit Clamart.
(9) Pass this crossroads via the cycle paths that run alongside the pedestrian crossings, first under the A86 motorway, then immediately afterwards, on the left, crossing the 4-lane departmental road, then follow the cycle path on the left of this departmental road for about 3.5 km heading north, i.e. towards Fontenay-aux-Roses and Paris. There are no difficulties, but be careful as the route, which runs parallel to the T6 tram line, often shares lanes with pedestrians or cars. After passing the Clamart Cemetery, follow the cycle path to a street just before the Division Leclerc stop on the T6 tram line.
(10) Take this street on the right and cross the tram line. Immediately afterwards, you will arrive at a traffic light at the intersection with the D906. Cross this road and take Avenue du Général Leclerc opposite, which descends towards the centre of Fontenay-aux-Roses. Follow this avenue downhill, ignoring the streets on the right and left; after a roundabout and then a left turn, you will come to a traffic light. Continue to the right, then further down, you will come to another traffic light at Carrefour de la Cavée.
(11) Take the first street immediately on your right, which is very steep, towards Collège des Ormeaux. Continue downhill until you reach a crossroads with six streets. Take Boulevard de la République, the second lane on the left, which is closed to cars but open to bicycles with a cycle lane. At the crossroads further down with traffic lights, take Rue Robert Marchand opposite (still closed to cars but open to bicycles) and quickly reach the end of it (S/E).
