Through woodland and hedgerows, starting from Englefontaine

A rural route passing through the Avesnes villages of Poix-du-Nord, Robersart and Fontaine-au-Bois. The landscape is mainly hedgerow-lined, but you’ll also pass through the Bois l’Evêque State Forest and, on the way back, the Mormal Forest. You may spot does, stags, wild boars and numerous roe deer.

Long stretches of country roads are dangerous, even when there is little traffic.
The undergrowth is damp or even marshy, even after several days without rain.
