Description of the route

This long walk takes you on a journey of discovery through Greater Andenne. You start your route in Seilles, where you will discover Place Joseph Wauters, then the small Place Jean Tousseul, which features a bust of the famous author. You then pass by the beautiful Romanesque church of Saint-Étienne before reaching the Sclaigneaux Nature Reserve. As you leave the woods, you will see the Chant d'Oiseaux educational farm. You then descend into the Loysse valley to reach the Meuse, which you follow to the Sclaigneaux bridge, where you cross to Sclayn. You then pass in front of the majestic Saint-Maurice Church, the second Romanesque church on your route. You walk along the Fond des Vaux area before reaching the Marchempré quarry. The site is closed and secured, but it offers beautiful views of the rocks and the basin. You then discover Thon-Samson, classified as one of the Most Beautiful Villages of Wallonia. Then you descend into the Samson Valley before climbing back up to the village of Maizeret. A very beautiful section of the GR®575 takes you through the Bois d'Herpet before descending back into the valley and climbing up through the Try de Goyet towards Bonneville. In the middle of the fields, you will come across the pretty little chapel of Notre-Dame du Bon Secours. Don't hesitate to stop there to admire the view of the countryside! You will bypass Bonneville on small roads to return to the Bois de Stud, near Andenne. After the golf course, you will descend the small paths to reach the Andenne-Seilles lock, which will allow you to cross the Meuse and return to Seilles. After passing the Château de Seilles, which has been converted into apartments, you will reach the Seilles Sports Complex, your starting point.
