Park in the Col du Tourrond car park.
(S/E) Take the path leading to Puy Maurel or Notre-Dame-du-Laus, heading north-east.
(1) At the Charamère crossroads, continue uphill to the left towards Puy Maurel and Pas du Lièvre. The path narrows and gradually becomes a trail. Ignore a trail that branches off to the left and continue straight ahead into the deciduous forest. The trail then turns eastwards, crossing a ravine, then leads through marl towards Pas du Lièvre: a beautiful viewpoint.
(2) Leave the path leading to Notre-Dame du Laus on your right and retrace your steps to continue the slightly steep climb to the junction of a pretty grassy path, on the edge of pastures, after Côte Belle.
(3) Turn left and reach the crossroads north of Puy Maurel, below the antenna.
(4) Ignore the track and take the path on the right, towards Les Bancs. Arrive at the D.F.C.I. E132 track and
walk along the ridge with unobstructed views to the north and west, towards the Dévoluy and Écrins massifs. You will reach the Bancs orientation table, which offers breathtaking views.
(5) Continue along the path, passing an underground water reservoir on your right, and continue to the crossroads (altitude 1176). Leave the paths branching off to the left and continue straight ahead on the path towards La Morfondière. Shortly afterwards, you will reach the forest road. Follow it in the same direction.
(6) Leave the path on the left and stay on the track that descends to the right, towards La Morfondière and Col de l'Ange.
(7) Continue left on the track to the Hermitage to see the chapel. This is an ideal spot for a picnic.
(8) Retrace your steps.
(7) Start the descent to the Statue de l'Ange on the left. From the oratory, there is a bird's eye view of the sanctuary of Notre-Dame-du-Laus. The place is ideal for a contemplative break. The path then descends in rather steep switchbacks between the broom bushes on the mountainside. It offers breathtaking views of the surrounding marl pits and the wider landscape. To the north is the Écrins massif, to the east is the summit of Mont-Colombis, and to the south is the Monges massif. You will come to a small road. Take it to the right, slightly uphill, to reach the sanctuary.
(9) Take advantage of your proximity to the building to walk around it on the left and push open the door to admire its architecture. The organ, which is still in use today, dates from 1879. Return to the Grande Rue and follow it to the left until you reach the Barons district. Join the RD211 (Chemin de la Plaine) after the last houses.
(10) Follow it straight ahead (there is little traffic, however) until you reach an oratory.
(11) Opposite the oratory, take the path on the right, which crosses the D211 twice more and then crosses the bottom of a ravine before returning to the starting point.
(1) Continue straight ahead to return to the Col du Tourrond car park (S/E).
