Access is by car. Free parking is available at the car park at the foot of the village of Ménerbes, just after the turn-off for Oppède on the left as you head uphill.
(S/E) Walk down from the car park towards the road from Ménerbes to Oppède. Turn left towards Oppède, past a vast field of lavender.
(1) After the bridge, turn left (towards Chemin du Valmenon, Vallon du Bausset). Beautiful view of Ménerbes.
(2) Pass the Bausset farm and continue straight on. At a small electricity pylon, ignore a track branching off to the left and continue straight on to the next crossroads, DFCI water tank no. 157.
(3) Continue straight on. The track makes a hairpin bend to the left and continues eastwards.
(4) When the track descends, ignore a track branching off to the right, continue straight on along the tarmac road and arrive at the entrance to La Peyrière. Follow the road to the left.
(5) After the bend, take the tarmac road that climbs to the right (Chemin de la Peyrière) and arrive at a Y-junction.
(6) Turn right onto the Chemin de Trayas (a track) which crosses a forest. Follow this track/road for about two kilometres until you reach a small transformer.
(7) Take the dead-end road opposite and enter the very pretty village of Ménerbes. Panoramic view over the plain and the hills. The path leads to a small square.
(8) Turn left, then right into Rue Kleber Guendon. At number 33, take a moment to admire the paintings by Ann Rouhani, who excels in the art of painting animals in all sorts of situations. After the church, keep left and join the Route des Écoles.
(9) Walk down it to the right for about ten metres, cross it and turn left onto Route d’Oppède. Continue to the car park (S/E)..
