From Colera to Coll de Llaceres

This hike allows you to explore the Albères from the southern side (on the other side of the border (Empurdan)). The route starts from Colera. The climb to Coll de Llacéres is steep and overgrown. Afterwards, the view opens up over the sea from Port Bou to Cap de Creus.

This hike should be avoided during periods of intense heat as the altitude remains low.

Description of the walk

Access to COLERA: take the N260 linking Port Bou to FIGUERES. Car park at the entrance to COLERA, 300 m from the start of the hike.

It is possible to travel by train on the Perpignan–Port Bou line, then Port Bou–Barcelona.

S/E Follow a wide, relatively flat track that runs alongside the Ribèra de Molinas for 4 km.

4. From Molinas, take a path that climbs through the vegetation to

5, Coll de Llaceres. The signposting is sporadic and you must not lose the track as the vegetation is dense.

From the pass, a wide track descends towards Coll de Falco. View of Port Bou.

We cross over to the Colèra side via a wide track. After 3 km, take care: leave the track at a bend (watering trough below, see photo) to descend via a path and rejoin the original track.
