Departure from the car park at the cycle path, Chemin de Compiègne.

(S/E) Take the cycle path south towards Compiègne and reach Bienville (Rue de l'Ormeau).

(1) Continue straight ahead on the cycle path and follow it to a supermarket and Rue de la Verrerie in Compiègne.

(2) Take this street, cross the railway tracks and turn right. Continue along the Oise river to the SNCF train station.

(3) Continue on the path to the left and pass under the bridge over the Oise. Then continue along Quai de Venette, then on the cycle path until you reach a fork.

(4) Keep right (lorries pass through on weekdays) and follow the cycle path that runs alongside the road. Continue between the railway tracks and the industrial estate, pass under the road bridge and continue along the Oise.

(5) Ignore the level crossing on the right and continue on the cycle path. Cross the footbridge over the Oise (view of the port), then turn left and immediately right to join the road at the Lycée Charles de Gaulle.

(6) Turn right and go around the roundabout on the left.

(7) Cross the D200 expressway with caution and continue straight ahead on Rue Robert Schuman until you reach the end.

(8) Turn right, then follow this road to Rue du Poirier.

(9) Turn right and enter the forest. At the roundabout, go straight ahead onto Route Forestière du Vivier Corax and follow it to the crossroads of the same name.

(10) Continue right through the undergrowth, cross a road and stay on the main road until you reach a four-way fork.

(11) Turn left, then right onto the grassy path. At the end, turn left, then continue straight ahead until you reach the Carrefour du Puits du Roi.

(12) Go straight ahead onto Route de Berne, continue straight ahead, cross the road carefully and reach the next four-way junction.

(13) Turn right and then left at the next junction. Continue straight ahead, cross the road and continue to the next junction at Carrefour de l'Épinette.

(14) Of the three paths opposite, take the middle one, heading north.

(15) At Carrefour du Tréan, continue straight ahead, north, as well as at Carrefour du Mont du Tremble. At the Villequier crossroads, go almost straight ahead, onto the third lane on the right, and arrive at the railway line (trains pass once or twice a month).

(16) Turn right along the railway line and follow it to the level crossing at house number 97.

(17) Turn left, cross the railway line and, at the Carrefour des Loups junction, continue straight ahead on the cycle path and cross the road (N31) with caution. Continue straight ahead at the Carrefour du Taillis de Berne junction and you will reach a left-hand bend.

(18) Leave the cycle path, turn left and continue straight ahead on the dirt track along the Aisne river, then join the D546.

(19) Follow it to the right, cross the bridge over the Aisne and, at Francport, continue straight ahead and pass No. 1835. Keep left at the next junctions and you will reach a dirt track on the left.

(20) Follow it and arrive at the Notre-Dame des Trois Chênes Chapel.

(21) Continue left and reach Choisy-au-Bac, opposite No. 123.

(22) Turn right onto the EV3, then further on, left onto Rue de Sergenteret. Continue along Avenue Henri (dead end) and follow it to the end.

(23) Turn right onto the dirt track, cross the departmental road with caution, and continue straight on until you reach the edge of the forest. Follow it to the right and you will come to a fork.

(24) Continue straight ahead.

(25) At the roundabout, take the second exit, Allée des Buissons. Turn onto the lane just after No. 5 and you will reach a cross street at the end of the access road to the community hall. Turn left and you will arrive at a small roundabout.

(26) Continue left onto Place Bobigny and, at the end of it, turn left again and return to the roundabout you have already passed.

(25) Take the road you have already taken and arrive at the next crossroads.

(24) Turn right, then quickly left and go around the pond on your right.

(27) At the end, turn left, follow the Oise, then take the footbridge over it and return to the opposite bank. Pass the residential area and arrive at a fork in the road.

(28) Turn left and join the Canal Latéral de l'Oise.

(29) Turn right, then cross the canal via the lock footbridge. At the exit, turn left twice and follow Avenue de la Cannonière until you reach the hairpin bend on the right.

(30) Continue along the path opposite, then turn right at the level crossing. Continue along Rue de l'Église, then turn left onto Rue des Buttes.

(31) At the end, take the dirt track opposite and follow it along the hillside to the crossroads, a few metres after Clairoix Church.

(32) Climb to the right, walk along the cemetery and keep left at the next fork. Continue along the hillside and, at the first houses in Clairoix, turn right and you will come to a road.

(33) Follow it to the left, then, at the left-hand bend, take the gravel cycle path opposite, which passes between two fences, alongside the stadium.

(34) Cross the Aronde. At the church, continue straight ahead and rejoin the cycle path you took earlier.

(1) Turn right onto this path and, taking the opposite route to the one you took on the way there, return to the car park on Chemin de Compiègne (S/E).
