Veauville-les-Baons – Route de la Chapelle Saint-Gilles

The walk starts in the car park of the Veauville-lès-Baons sports centre.

(S) Take the small grassy path alongside the trees towards the motorway. At the end of the path, turn right onto a stony track.

(1) At the junction, continue along the grassy path opposite (leaving a path on your right which you’ll take on the return journey). At the end of the path, turn right. The path then becomes tarmac again. At the T-junction that follows, turn left towards the Chapelle Saint-Gilles.

(2) Continue the route by turning right just after the chapel. At the 141-metre mark, turn right and, at the fork, take the left-hand path. Pass beneath a beech grove. At the end of the road, turn right. On your left, you’ll walk past a former religious institution: La Maison Sainte-Marie.

(3). Turn right and head up Rue Belanger towards the Red Cross.

(4) Continue straight on along the Sente du Fay. At the end of the path, turn left to head back towards the sports hall.

Saint-Gilles Chapel, dating from the late 19th century. People come here to ward off fear, whether for their children, exams or driving tests. It is open to visitors; the contact details are displayed on the door.
