Chapelle du Bon Dieu Qui Croque walks
Circular route, North/South, Ittre – Canal – Golf de la Tournette
Over hill and dale, through meadows and woodland, along country lanes, towpaths and a few streets – all linking up to form the backbone of this walk. The first section allows you to discover the natural surroundings so close to Ittre; just a few steps uphill take you to the Brussels–Charleroi Canal at lock no. 5. You then walk alongside Ittre’s marina and continue along the towpath. A semi-urban stretch takes you back into the countryside, where the path zigzags until it leads you to the Golf de la Tournette. The final stretch follows the Ry Ternel back to the centre of Ittre.

Tour de Wallonie
This walking tour of Wallonia, which includes the German-speaking part of Belgium, is a circular route that generally follows the borders as closely as possible, whether linguistic or territorial. This sometimes involves forays into neighbouring territories – France, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and the Flemish Region. Occasionally, the route also deviates from this due to accommodation requirements or because suitable accommodation could not be found close to the borders, whilst still adhering to various constraints.
Tour de Wallonie Stage 1 Braine-l'Alleud - Braine-le-Comte
Starting from the 1815 site, this first stage of my tour of Wallonia connects two towns named Braine – Braine-l’Alleud and Braine-le-Comte – whilst prioritising routes away from towns and villages as much as possible. But that doesn’t necessarily mean they are farm tracks or footpaths. Where possible, yes; otherwise, mostly small country roads.
Direct route from Waterloo to Woluwe-St-Lambert
This is a direct route that runs along the edge of the Soignes Forest. There are few roads and the junctions are safe. One tricky spot is when crossing the junction under the Hermann-Debroux viaduct. There is another route further to the east which passes through a lovely neighbourhood in Auderghem before reaching the Sonian Forest and crossing it.
Braine-le-Comte – Meslin-l’Evèque
The second stage of the Tour de Wallonie takes us today from the town of Braine-le-Comte to Meslin-l’Evèque, a small village in the municipality of Ath to the north-east. We will mainly be walking along small country lanes as we cross this beautiful, gently rolling Hainaut countryside, passing through a few small villages and other hamlets such as Horrues. A short detour of a few metres to view Thoricourt Castle from behind its gates before crossing part of the infamous Ghislenghien industrial estate.

This cycle route, starting in Seneffe, takes you to Ghent along the region’s iconic waterways. Ideal for an accessible and easy-going cycle ride, the route follows the landscaped banks of the Charleroi–Brussels Canal, offering you a peaceful, leafy route through Wallonia and Flanders.
From Bousval to the Écurie de la Tourelle
The hike starts at Avenue des Habitations Modernes and goes to the stable at the turret, passing through fields, forests, a small village and the Ravel. This hike will allow you to discover peaceful and beautiful spots that are perfect for beginners.
