(S/E) From ‘The Green' at the centre of Broadway, head east on High Street (shops, restaurants, hotels, tea rooms...)
(1) Just after the tiny Millennium Garden and before the Broadway Museum, take the path on the right which quickly leads to a playground and opens into a grassy path over the countryside. Carry on straight ahead.
After the second kissing gate, follow the path that runs slightly right until you reach Snowshill road where you go left. Continue a little way on this road past Lybrook Farm and the church.
(2) Opposite the church, take the path that goes through a gateway to the left.
This path is a 'public footpath' leading to 'Broadway Tower'. When you start it, you will have the Broadway Cricket club on your right.
First, follow the gentle slope that then becomes steeper until you reach a crossroads in the countryside.
(3) At the junction, take the path on the right.
Pass a building and admire the hamlet of Dor Knap on the right as well as the valley and the hills beyond.
(4) Turn left at the junction and continue to climb past a beautiful local stone farm.
(5) Carry on straight and do not miss the kissing gate on the left which gives access to a path running due north in the meadows towards the Broadway Tower hostel. Keep Morris & Brownie Cafe on your right and just before reaching Buckle Street, Turn left toward the tower.
(6) When you are at the tower, take the path that descends sharp left (North-West) of the tower. (The whole area has now been developed and the tower itself is enclosed with a fence. So be careful to take the good Costwold Way towards Broadway).
This is a section of the Cotswold Way which leads straight back to Broadway - High Street where you have to take a left again to reach the starting point.
When you finally arrive back in the High Street, if you have any energy left, I would heartily recommend that you turn right and explore the lesser-known part of the village before finally heading back into the centre. (D:A)
